We attended Birmingham Pride Parade on Saturday 25th May 2024.
We would firstly like to give a shout out to all the organisers who made Birmingham Pride happen.
Our Moderator of BEAR “TP” was our Parade Leader on the day and we would like to thank him for all the work he put in to organising our groups’ walk, along with Wayne.
Our current Mr BEAR UK (Stuart) and several members of our BEAR Group (Alex, Jay, Sam, Phillip, Andy, Terry, Adi and others) met at Centenary Square on the morning of Saturday 25th May. The day could not have started better with the sun having its hat on, and there being beautiful blue skies!.
Members of our Group walked through the city centre, making their way to the LGBTQ+ Village where they were rewarded with drinks on us! We were also pictured on an article for the BBC News!
The Birmingham Pride Parade is FREE for all to attend and is a celebration of LGBTQ+ life, demonstrating contribution to the community and city.
The Birmingham Pride march is one of the most important aspects of the entire festival weekend, enjoyed by tens of thousands of participants, walking, marching or aboard creatively decorated floats, and viewed by in excess of 75,000 spectators lining the streets of Birmingham. It is a march for equality and justice.
All who attended the weekend had an enjoyable time.
