My Unexpected Art Journey and the Wilderness Series
A Spark of Inspiration
My artistic journey began unexpectedly. In 2021, I found myself captivated by a friend's Instagram posts. She used watercolour painting as a form of therapy, and her work resonated deeply with me. "I'd love to try that," I told my husband. That Christmas, he surprised me with a watercolour paint set, a gift that would change everything. In late January 2022, I painted my first watercolour: a mountain landscape. To my surprise, it was genuinely good! It felt like a revelation, a long-dormant talent finally awakening.
The Growth of a Passion
Over the following months, I explored more landscapes, and by August, I was hooked. Painting became a daily ritual. To document my progress, I created an Instagram account, a sort of visual art diary. With each piece, I felt myself learning and growing. Soon, I launched my website, and I was thrilled to see my art finding its way to collectors around the world, from France and Spain to the USA and Saudi Arabia.
Introducing the Wilderness Series
Towards the end of 2024, I embarked on a new project: the Wilderness Series. This collection features double-exposure paintings that beautifully merge wilderness animals with their natural habitats. The series includes six distinct pieces, each capturing the essence of these majestic creatures: a bear, a stag, a wolf, a brown bear, a bald eagle, and a unique bear paw print.
