THE TEAM
Jason
Admin
Jason is the head Administrator of BEAR; and our associated groups. He was the CoOrdinator of the group back in 2016 when it was launched. He has steered the ship through both smooth and difficult times.
He is always available to chat and is supportive of others.
One of Jay's great strengths is his ability to deal with very difficult situations that may occur. He has a no nonsense approach to dealing with problems and doesn’t procrastinate.
Jason is on our Judging Panel for Mr BEAR UK and Mr Cub UK.
Hobbies and Interests: Gaming, Star Trek, Old Horror Films.
Steve
Admin
Steve is an Administrator of BEAR; and our associated groups. He is one of the OG’s.
He is always available to chat and is supportive of others. Loves to wind up Jason.
He is friendly but takes no BS, and will ensure everyone has a safe space to enjoy.
Hobbies and Interests: Gaming, soap making, and now traveling.
Steve runs the discord for Gaymers.
Wayne
Deputy Admin and Events' Manager
Wayne is an Administrator of BEAR and Events Manager. He joined the Team early 2018 and went on to arrange many, very successful events for the group members.
He is well liked by Members of the group and is a huge advocate for mental health.
In 2022, Wayne introduced our Mr BEAR UK Competition; which he also organises.
Hobbies and Interests: Holidays, weekends away and beer!
TP
Moderator
TP has been a moderator of BEAR, periodically, over the last couple of years.
You might have seen that tall person at Blackpool Mr BEAR heat and the finals.
He is a big, cuddly, geeky BEAR who likes to ensure everyone is having a good time and you might have had fun when he hosted our karaoke session in Blackpool.
His hobbies are singing, gaming, running (he is currently training for the London Marathon 5th time now), lego and anything fun and active as being a qualified run leader/coach for England Athletics.
Craig
Original Founder/Member of our Admin Team
Craig is one of the original founders of BEAR, with Jason, his partner.
Due to personal reasons Craig has had to take a step back from the day to day running of the groups. He will however be coming back to the ranks and be a contributing Admin.
Craig is somewhat a shy guy with a love for his dogs and the outdoors. He and Jay are huge movie fans with a penchant for horror movies.
Craig would like to say a huge thank you to all who have kept the groups alive while he is taking his sabbatical.
Daniel
Moderator
Friendly, easy-going guy who's always up for a chat. Coffee enthusiast
and dog dad.
Kristian
Moderator and Winner of Mr BEAR UK 2022
We are very pleased that Kristian has joined our Team as a Moderator.
Kristian took part in Mr BEAR UK in 2022; where he took part in the Birmingham Heat. He went on to win the Title of Mr BEAR UK at the finals in Blackpool that very year; and donated his winnings (£250.00) to dogs trust. Since then he has been on a Radio Station; been involved in press releases; featured in the Mr BEAR UK Calendar, and fronted the BEAR Group on the Parade at Birmingham Pride in 2023, amongst other things.
Kristian is very down to earth and approachable.
Hobbies and Interests: Cooking, Baking, a huge obsession with shoes and sports cars; true crime documentaries.
Tom
Moderator
Tom aka “Jonesy” competed in the Mr BEAR UK competition in 2022, where he won the Cardiff heat.
Although a bit shy at times, once you get to know him he is a big ol’ cuddly Welsh bear!
In his free time, you’ll most likely catch Jonesy trying (and failing) to stay on top of his Netflix watchlist, DIY-ing (with reasonable success), gaming and reading.
Stephen
Moderator
Stephen is one of our moderators for Bear and our associated groups.
He is probably best known for two things; his Instagram/ social media and his broad range of animals.
Stephen is always on hand to help and support members as he has overcome a lot of social media hurdles and the emotions involved. Stephen is very approachable and says he welcomes cute hedgehog photos.
Hobbies and interests: gaming, horror movies, collecting 4K blu rays and rehabilitating hedgehogs
Eris
Senior Moderator
MOB Town PUP 2024
A moderator since 2019 and a supervisor since 2020, Eris is part of the moderator team of BEAR as well as its associated groups. He has many varied responsibilities which mainly include a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Eris does his best to lend a hand and to give encouragement when and where needed, and is always available to members who need his help.
Hobbies and interests: language (speaks English, French and Welsh), building projects, painting/drawing, music.
Jared
Moderator
Jared is a moderator for the Bear group.
He is friendly, outgoing
and always willing to help people out and offer support for fellow Bears.
His hobbies include working out,
travelling, coffee, cats and
real estate.
Matt
Moderator
Matt is a moderator for the Bear group. He is a Daddy Bear who likes to help and encourage those around him.
He loves to travel and see the world, but also feels at home in the kitchen cooking and in the garden growing. He is an avid movie goer. And enjoys current and classic TV. He once appeared on the MTV game show Remote Control.
His life is his husband and his dog.
Will
Moderator
Will is a moderator in the Bear group, as well as the Gaymer group. Originally from Oklahoma in the United States, he now lives with his partner in the Denver metro.
Don't let his height and broad stature fool you, though. While he may look intimidating at first, he'll be the first to admit that he's nothing if not a giant teddy bear! But while he's a total sweetheart, don't think that he won't jump into the fray when someone is being treated wrong. He'll "bless your heart" and do it with a smile.
His hobbies include a range of things from cooking and sewing to gaming and Tudor/Elizabethan history (the first Elizabeth, not the recent).
Corey
Moderator
Corey recently joined the BEAR Team after a short stint as a GAYMERS moderator. He has made himself an irreplaceable member of the group.
He loves music, gaming, computers, graphic and video design.
He’s also very tech savvy.
Don’t be rude though, he has jokes…
